Huge congratulations to our well-deserved winners, whose incredible shows have brought hundreds of thousands of visitors to the region. I'm sure we all can't wait to see the show return to Flatts Farm this summer for its eighth season!
I actually noticed that Kyren has begun its Open Calls for people to take part in this year's performances, with one taking place tomorrow evening from 6:30pm-8pm atΒ 11Arches, Flatts Farm, Bishop Auckland, DL14 7SF. You can read more about it here. This is a great opportunity for absolutely anyone- from the ages of 5-88- to be part of something that they will remember for the rest of the lives, so please do consider it.Β
There was a really wide range of nominations for this competition, and I want to congratulate Raby Castle, Locomotion, Bowes Museum and Grassholme Observatory for making the shortlist. Seeing the diversity of our visitor economy made me really proud of what we have to offer. IfΒ you know anyone outside County Durham, make sure you evangelise the range of attractions there is here around Bishop Auckland!
