On the 100th anniversary of the Armistice, we remember the sacrifice of those who lost their lives in The Great War.
It has been really touching seeing so many beautiful tributes across the constituency - here are just a few pictures I grabbed over the weekend. I was particularly moved by the poems written by pupils at Ramshaw Primary School. It is really important, even 100 years on, that we continue to teach our children about the atrocity of war, and of the sacrifices made by our predecessors.
Today, when the nation fell silent, I thought about those brave people who gave their tomorrows so that we may have our todays. We are forever grateful, and, as the famous poem goes, “we will remember them”.
