Donna Hopper, of Toft Hill, received the second Unsung Hero award, a scheme created by Bishop Auckland MP, Dehenna Davison, to recognise efforts from local residents who are going above and beyond to help those in need throughout the Coronavirus pandemic.

A local caterer who has made more than 6,000 meals for the vulnerable named first Unsung Hero by Bishop Auckland MP.

 

Expanding Testing - Daily Covid Brief

Today the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, updated the nation on the steps the Government are taking to tackle the Corona Virus Crisis. The Government is currently working through the action plan to protect life and the NHS, and ensuring care is always available to those who need it.
